Operator and scope
Megado LIMITED is the company behind Identify & Translate: AI Scan (the “Application”). This Policy covers the Application, the website pages for it, and messages you send to our support address.
Information we process
1) The picture you scan
A scan starts with a frame you capture or a file you pick from your library. That single image is sent to the recognition service so that it can be identified. The rest of your library stays closed: one file goes out per scan, and no index of the others is built.
The image exists on the recognition server for the length of a single request. Delivery of the answer ends that request, and the file goes with it. No copy remains behind for later use.
2) Scan history and saved items
Results you keep, and the list of what you scanned earlier, are written to the Application on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no copy of that list on our side. Clearing an entry removes it; removing the Application removes all of them.
3) Support communications (optional)
A message to our support address arrives with whatever you put into it — the sending address, the text, and any files attached.
We use support messages to understand the request, reply to you, and keep a reasonable support record.
4) Diagnostics and performance data
For reliability, we may receive limited technical signals such as crash reports, app build, device and iOS identifiers, network type at the time of a request, and round-trip timings. These signals describe how the Application behaves, never what appeared in a scan.
Why we process information
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Scanned image | To identify what is in the frame and return reference information to your device. |
| On-device history | To let you reopen an earlier result and keep the items you decided to save. |
| Support messages | To read your support message, investigate the issue, and send a useful reply. |
| Diagnostics | To spot crashes, diagnose technical problems, protect the service, and keep the app stable. |
Permissions and controls
Two permissions are involved. Camera powers the live scanning screen. Photos is requested only at the point where you pick an existing file instead of taking a new shot, and only that file is opened. Both can be changed later in iOS Settings under Identify & Translate: AI Scan.
- Camera: shows the live view and captures the frame you decide to scan.
- Photos: opens the single picture you select, and nothing around it.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not broker user profiles or sell audience lists. The image you scan reaches the providers that perform recognition and image matching, because that is the only way a result can be produced. Separately, limited technical information may be handled by vendors that help with diagnostics, infrastructure, support, or legal compliance.
Vendors must use information for the service they provide to us. Your photo library is not handed over as a general collection for browsing or selection.
International processing
Our providers are not all located in one place, so processing may occur outside your country of residence. Where the applicable regime demands a transfer mechanism, one is put in place before the data moves.
Retention and security
A scanned image is not retained after the answer has been delivered. Support emails are kept only for as long as they are useful for handling the request and ordinary records. Diagnostic records may be kept while they help us understand reliability patterns.
We use reasonable safeguards, while recognizing that no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights and choices
Your local law may give you choices such as reviewing, correcting, or asking us to erase certain records. For questions about support records or privacy choices, email us at here@megado-cy-apps.com.
- Change Camera or Photos access from iOS Settings whenever you want.
- Clear your scan history and saved items inside the Application.
- Ask us to remove support messages where applicable law allows.
Payments and refunds
We do not handle your card number. App purchases run through Apple, and subscription renewal settings are managed from your Apple account.
Refunds
Refund requests for App Store purchases must go through Apple. Apple decides those requests under its own rules.
Scanning other people
Point the camera at objects, not at strangers. Rules on photographing people and private premises vary by country. You are the one holding the phone, so compliance with those rules sits with you.
Children’s privacy
Identify & Translate: AI Scan is built for a general adult audience. It is neither aimed at nor marketed to anyone under 13, and we take no steps to gather information from that age group. If you believe a child has sent us something through support, write to here@megado-cy-apps.com and it will be deleted.
FAQ
Does the app keep my photos?
The frame you scan is sent for recognition and dropped once the result is back. What stays is the entry in your own history, on your own phone.
Is the identification always right?
No. Recognition proposes the most likely answer, and objects that look alike are easy to confuse. Check anything that matters.
How do I revoke Camera access?
Open iOS Settings, find Identify & Translate: AI Scan, and change Camera or Photos access there.
Updates to this Policy
